My Reason

Jose Fernandez from Kent, Washington was murdered by his mother Sandy Fernandez in 2022. She is charged with second degree murder of her son. The Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families was warned about concerns regarding Jose's safety weeks before his death, but nothing was done to save him.
 

Fernandez is currently charged with second degree murder charges. The murder trial of Sandy Fernandez is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2024, in King County Superior Court.
